Consultation with our communities is important to the development and assessment of the Melbourne Energy and Resource Centre. This page is a space where anyone can ask a question about the project to Cleanaway and the technical specialists.
Waste-to-energy is part of Victoria’s solution to the wider waste management challenge. We are available to respond to your questions, particularly information about why the project is needed, what the facility is and what will be studied by the technical specialists.
Start a conversation with us by asking a question. One of our project team members will answer the question and post it on the discussion board below. Your first name and town will appear with the question in the discussion board or you can choose to post anonymously.
The project is being delivered by Cleanaway, with technical support from Arup, Ramboll and Tract.
Cleanaway Operations Pty Ltd is Australia’s leading total waste management, industrial and environmental services company. Our mission is to make a sustainable future possible. Our operations cover all levels of the waste hierarchy – avoid, re-use, recycle, recover energy, treat and dispose. We are always finding better, smarter and cleaner ways to help our customers collect, process, treat, recycle or safely dispose of any type of waste.
We invest in education programs to support our customers to avoid and reuse materials. We operate recycling and composting facilities.
To manage waste better, we need to find ways to work at higher levels of the waste hierarchy. This is why we invest in Resource Recovery solutions like waste-to-energy technology.
Ramboll is recognised as one of the world’s leading waste-to-energy engineering consultants. They have 90 dedicated waste-to-energy project managers and specialists, with in-depth knowledge of processes, world-leading technologies, suppliers and facility operations.
