The upper dam for Snowy 2.0, with an elevation of 1,222 metres, Tantangara is an existing storage with a total capacity of 254,100 megalitres and a surface area of 2,118 hectares. Water will enter and exit the Tantangara power waterway through an intake structure designed to operate in both generating and pumping modes.
