As part of the project, works will be undertaken along a section of Bridge Road, between Wattle Street and Wentworth Park Road to streamline traffic management in the local area and improve road safety.

Bridge Road works complete
Multiplex carried out works to upgrade the power supply for the new Sydney Fish Market. These works involved trenching and installing conduit and cabling along a 1.8km route from Lyons Road in Camperdown to the site in Bridge Road, Glebe.
Works included saw cutting the top layer of pavement, followed by trenching, duct installation and temporary pavement restoration.
This work was completed in 2023.

Changes to Bridge Road started in mid-2023 and is ongoing. The works will deliver:
improved and widened footpath areas
drop-off and pick-up areas
shared path and new landscaping
improved traffic, pedestrian, and cyclist management.
Stage One
The first stage of the Bridge Road changes are now complete.
Works included:
underground relocation of existing services and utilities to within the site boundary
reconfiguration of the Wentworth Park Road and Bridge Road intersection.
The work was undertaken at the intersection of Bridge Road with Wattle Street and with Wentworth Park Road.
Stage Two
The second stage of the Bridge Road changes will start in early 2024 and take several months.
Works will involve:
Establishing drop-off and pick-up bays for buses and cars along the northern side of Bridge Road
Installing a signalised crossing at intersection of Bridge Road and Wentworth Park Road
Installing a promenade footpath with shared pedestrian and cycling space
Landscaping
When necessary, respite from night works will be provided by ensuring work is limited to a maximum of two nights per week in each work zone.
