Existing Proposed

New bus lane

We're helping you get to the station on time by building dedicated bus lanes, giving you more travel options by improving public transport connections.

New shared user path

We'll make it easier for walkers and bike riders to get around safely by completing the missing links along Palmers Road.

Adding extra lanes

We're increasing road capacity by adding extra lanes in each direction, allowing for greater traffic flow in and around Point Cook.

Widening the bridge

We're building a wider bridge with more lanes to keep traffic moving and stop bottlenecks on this main route to and from Point Cook.

Upgraded Intersection

Throughout January, we worked around the clock to upgrade this roundabout.

We removed 2825 square meters of pavement
poured 200 cubic metres of concrete
laid 1530 tonnes of asphalt
installed 1330m of drainage
built 890 of new kerb
put down 1600 tonne of crushed rock over 10,000 working hours

New traffic lights (Sayers Road)

We're straightening the road and fixing this intersection to improve traffic flow

New Cycling and Pedestrian bridge (Sayers Road)

We're building a new cycling and walking bridge at this Federation Trail crossing far a safer journey.

Additional lanes

We’ll build an extra lane in each direction.

We'll build 2 additonal lanes, 1 in each direction between Boundary Road and the Western Highway.

New Cycling and Pedestrian Path

We're building a new bike and pedestrian path along the whole project to give you safer travel options.

Upgraded intersection (Tarniet Train Station)

We'll improve the access to Tarniet Train Station by upgrading this intersection to cope with peak traffic safely.

Widening the bridge over the rail line

We'll improve road capacity by building an extra bridge over the rail line which will have 2 lanes in each direction. This will improve traffic flow and bust bottlenecks in this location.

Upgraded intersection (Tarniet Central Shopping Centre)

We'll improve access to Tarniet Central.

Upgraded intersection (Marengo Street/Rebecca Promenade)

Upgrading this intersection will allow safe turning access for local residents.

Upgraded intersection (Rippleside Terrace)

Upgrading this intersection allows priority access for the CFA in an emergency.

New traffic lights (Sayers Road)

We're upgrading this section for better traffic flow and accommodate for more lanes.

We'll be installing a new roundabout at Cynamid Street to improve safety and traffic flow

Centre median

We'll build 2 sides of the road with a median in the middle. This improves safety by reducing the risk of head on crashes.

Adding extra lanes

We'll build a new bridge to double the amount of lanes crossing the Princes Freeway

Straightening the road

We'll realign the road to connect Old Geelong Road to Ashcroft Avenue.

Upgraded intersection (Forsyth Road)

We'll replace the roundabout at Ashcroft Avenue and Old Geelong Road with traffic lights. The traffic lights will allow for greater traffic managemet during peak periods

New traffic lights

We will put in new traffic lights so you can acess the shops

Adding extra lanes

We'll add extra lanes by building a new bridge to replace the old Princes Freeway crossing.

Building new ramps to and from the Princes Freeway

We'll build new on and off ramps to and from Geelong making it easier to get to local attractions and Werribee town centre.

New traffic lights

We'll add new traffic lights at both entry and exit points to the Princes Freeway. This will improve traffic flow, expecially during events.

Duncans Road

As a part of the work we rebuilt a section of the road, fixed potholes, resurface and marked new lines on the road.
We'll also do some work to reform the drains to make sure water can run off the road.

Fairbairn Road

We completed laying new asphalt on Fairbairn Road in April 2019.

Little Boundary Road

We completed laying new asphalt on Little Boundary Road in March 2019.

Somerville Road

We completed laying new asphalt on Somerville Road in April 2019.

Point Cook Road

As a part of the resurfacing works we’ll fix potholes, lay new asphalt and mark new lines on the road.
You may notice light noise and dust from works equipment. But we’ll do our best to keep this to a minimum.
Work will begin May 2019.

Princes Highway, Werribee

As a part of the resurfacing works we’ll fix potholes, resurface and mark new lines on the road.
You may notice light noise and dust from works equipment. But we’ll do our best to keep this to a minimum.

Sayers Road

Work is underway to fix potholes, lay new asphalt and mark new lines on the road.

Paramount Road and Ashley Street

We completed laying new asphalt on Paramount Road and Ashley Street in April 2019.

Dohertys Road

As a part of the resurfacing works we’ll fix potholes, lay new asphalt and mark new lines on the road.
You may notice light noise and dust from works equipment. But we’ll do our best to keep this to a minimum. We plan to begin work from May 2019.

Fitzgerald Road
