Rozelle Parklands Re-opening

We are pleased to announce the re-opening of the Rozelle Parklands 5PM on Tuesday 30 April! Mulch removed from within the Parklands has been replaced with fresh organic hardwood mulch, the areas have been carefully inspected by an independent EPA Accredited Site Auditor and received clearance.

Rozelle Parklands Update

Have your say on the proposed urban amenity improvements along Parramatta Road, Homebush.

The Parramatta Road Urban Amenity Improvement Program (PRUAIP) is a $198 million initiative by the NSW Government to improve open space and active transport links along the Parramatta Road corridor.

We are collaborating with Strathfield Council to deliver improvements along Parramatta Road as part of this program.

Temporary bus stop changes and closures

Across August and September, there will be temporary bus stop changes in place for Victoria Road and Roberts Street in Rozelle. There will also be changes to buses servicing Sydney Airport Domestic routes at Mascot.

Sydney Gateway Traffic Switches

Sydney Gateway is working towards completion at the end of 2024. From late 2023 you will start to see traffic switches onto our new road connections.

Western Harbour Tunnel Stage 2 early works commence

The Western Harbour Tunnel is being delivered in two stages. The northern section of the tunnel, Stage 2, will be delivered by Acciona Construction Australia. Stage 2 includes connections from Stage 1 at Cove Street, Birchgrove, to the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney, tunnelling underneath Sydney Harbour and complete tunnel fit-out.

Construction work for the Transport Access Program (TAP) at Turrella Station will result in temporary bus stops closures.

Bayside Council is partnering with Transport for NSW on the Safer Cities: Her Way program, aimed at improving safety in transport hubs for everyone, especially women and gender diverse people.

Sydney Gateway May Update

Sydney Gateway will provide a new, toll-free connection from St Peters Interchange to improve journey times to Sydney Airport, the M5 and Eastern Distributor.

Since our last update, we have achieved a number of milestones on Sydney Gateway. Over the next three months, more changes will be visible on the Project.
