Social procurement and workforce development
Transport for NSW is committed to leveraging a once-in-a-generation investment in infrastructure to create a more resilient, diverse and inclusive industry.
Our Social Procurement and Workforce Development program focuses on jobs, skills, diversity and business initiatives that achieve local economic and social outcomes.
We co-design these initiatives with industry and government partners – collaborating at each step. We also connect our supply chain to programs and potential funding that can help upskill and grow their business.
On this page, our industry partners will find Social Procurement & Workforce Development information including resources and case studies.

Transport’s Regional Rail Project has developed a series of Tender Writing Videos in partnership with Dubbo based Social Enterprise iClick2Learn. These videos are recommended for small, medium and diverse businesses engaging (or looking to engage) with Transport’s infrastructure supply chains. They are based on typical tender and minimum requirements of head contractors.
You can access the 8 videos and supporting handouts below.
