M4 Smart Motorway: Stage 1
The M4 Motorway will be widened to four lanes in both directions from Roper Road, Minchinbury, to the M7 Motorway, Eastern Creek. Existing ramps at Roper Road, Wallgrove Road and Reservoir Road will be extended, widened and realigned to provide more road capacity, and will have ramp meters and ramp control signs installed to manage traffic flow onto the motorway. Stage 1 is ready for construction and is expected to start in the next few months.
