Location: Falcon Street / Military Road/ Ernest Street to Warringah Freeway southbound
From 6am Saturday 8 November 2025 there will be temporary access changes for citybound drivers using the Falcon Street/Military Road southbound on ramp to the Warringah Freeway.
Traffic changes:
Military Road westbound motorists need to use new eastern southbound on-ramp and merge across the bus lane on the freeway for access to Sydney Harbour Bridge
No access to Cahill Expressway from Falcon Street eastbound or Ernest Street. Motorists need to use the Miller Street or Mount Street southbound on-ramps
General motorists and buses will both use the new Falcon Street eastern southbound on-ramp until the final bus on-ramp opens in 2026.
Military Road westbound access:
For Sydney Harbour Bridge: Use the new Falcon Street eastern on ramp and merge across the bus lane
For Alfred Street off ramp and Cahill Expressway: Use the new Falcon Street eastern on ramp stay in lane
For Sydney Harbour Tunnel: Use existing on ramp.
Falcon Street eastbound access:
For Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel: Use existing on ramp
For Cahill Expressway: Use Miller or Mount Street alternative on ramps
For Alfred Street North: Use Pacific Highway.
Ernest Street access:
For Cahill Expressway: Use Miller Street or Mount Street alternative on ramps. No access to Cahill Expressway via Ernest Street southbound on ramp.
The speed limit when turning left onto the new eastern ramp from Military Road westbound will be 35km/h and remain at 60km/h when on the freeway.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead, slow down and take caution while adjusting to the new traffic arrangements.
