How can we make walking and bike riding more attractive and accessible to you, your family and broader community? What improvements to public spaces are important to you when moving around the area, either on foot, a mobility device, a pushbike, with children?
Transport for NSW invites your feedback for walking and bike riding in North Sydney and the surrounding suburbs.
The demand for walking and bike riding is growing, with population growth and the desire for a sustainable mode of travel that enables healthier lifestyles and the activation of safe places.
For pedestrians, this means 15-minute neighbourhoods that prioritise walking to local destinations and transport networks.
For bike riders, it means continuous and connected bike riding, to enable more people to safely ride their bikes as part of their everyday travel.
The area of focus stretches across, and within the busy urban centres of North Sydney, Milsons Point, Kirribilli, Neutral Bay, Cammeray, Crows Nest and St Leonards.
We are consulting with you to understand how we can make walking and bike riding more attractive and accessible to all users – families, mobility impaired, the elderly, residents, commuters and visitors.
So, we are asking for your comments on the critical gaps we have already identified through analysis and stakeholder consultation, and for your opinion on other locations important to you.
We also know that great public spaces encourage walking and bike riding. What kinds of public spaces would encourage you to walk or ride more through your neighbourhood?
